Terms & ConditionsThank you for booking a photography session with Ryan Morris Photography (“me/I/my/the photographer”).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they apply to your (“you/the client”) booking (“Photography Services/photo shoot session/sitting”).
I am happy to address any questions or concerns you may have about these Terms and Conditions at any time. However, proceeding with your booking indicates that you agree to these terms. I reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
If changes are made, reasonable notice will be provided to you. By booking a photoshoot with Ryan Morris Photography, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms. Once your deposit is received, it will be considered confirmation that you have read and accepted all applicable terms and conditions.

General Terms

1. Booking & Payment

When you book a session with Ryan Morris Photography, the agreed-upon date and time will be reserved exclusively for your session. A non-refundable retainer (25% of the total session fee) is required at the time of booking to confirm and secure your Photo Shoot Package. If the retainer is not received, the Photographer cannot guarantee the availability of your chosen date and time. The remaining balance for your session must be paid, no later than 3 days before the scheduled date of your photo shoot. 

2. Lateness

If you are more than 30 minutes late to your session without contacting Ryan Morris Photography, you may miss your slot due to other bookings. This will result in no shoot, but the package fee will still be payable.  There will be no refunds for lateness. If you inform me in advance that you will be late, I may, at my discretion, make alternative arrangements depending on the circumstances. Lateness, may impact the number of photos available in your online gallery.

3. Travel Costs

Travel is charged at 50p per mile if the location is more than 20 miles from WR15 8DQ.

4. Unforeseen Events

Ryan Morris Photography is not liable for performance interruptions due to acts of God, weather, warfare, government laws, electrical failure, or other uncontrollable circumstances.

Images

5. Images & Prints

Your session fees are payments for the session and the included photo package (advertised on the 'Session Costs' page).
All images can be purchased additionally from an online gallery that is password encrypted.
Images will not be available until full payment for that session has been received. The Photographer retains the right to edit the photographs and omit any image at their discretion. All gallery images will be professionally adjusted for elements such as exposure, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and minor skin blemishes as well as the removal of any distracting objects. The Photographer’s judgment regarding these adjustments and the number of images presented for the Client’s preview will be deemed final. Additional retouching, digital manipulation, or artistic enhancements are available upon request for an extra fee.For Weddings, images will be included within the package you pay for. 

6. Image Usage

Ryan Morris Photography may use images from sessions for advertising, website, or social media unless otherwise stated by the client before the session. All copyright remains with Ryan Morris Photography.

7. Client Restrictions

Images in your gallery are for personal use only and must not be reproduced, edited, screenshotted, or used without purchase. Watermarks will be removed after payment.

8. Gallery Access

Galleries will be made available, up to 2 weeks, after the session date and will remain live for 28 days, for purchases. After this time, the gallery will be closed unless you request for an extension. Please note, Wedding Galleries will take up 4 weeks due to the number of images.

9. Refunds & Returns

Digital images, prints, and other purchased items are non-refundable once purchased.10. Copyright and UsageThe copyright and all associated rights to the photographs remain the exclusive property of Ryan Morris Photography. The Photographer asserts the right to be credited as the author of the photographs, as outlined in Sections 77 and 78 of the Copyright, Designs, and Patents Act 1988. Any unauthorized reproduction, modification, or use of the images—including making copies or taking screenshots of images shared online by the Photographer—constitutes a breach of copyright.The Photographer may occasionally share previews or “sneak peeks” of your images or provide access to an online gallery. These images must not be copied, screenshotted, downloaded, edited, or altered in any way without explicit permission. Clients wishing to share photographs on social media or other platforms may do so only after purchasing and paying for the images in full. When sharing, the Client agrees to include the Photographer’s business name (Ryan Morris Photography) or website link in their posts.Ryan Morris Photography will archive all images for three months from the date of your photo shoot session. After this period, the images will be permanently deleted. It is the Client’s responsibility to back up any digital files received. It is strongly recommended that you create multiple backups on different devices to ensure the safety and longevity of your photographs. Additionally, please handle any prints or other products with care to preserve their quality over time.

Session Guidelines

11. Family Sessions

Additional family members beyond six or  eight people (depending on the package chosen) may incur extra charges. Inform the photographer of extended family plans in advance to ensure smooth scheduling.

12. Event Photography

Provide a detailed timeline of key moments in advance. Missed moments due to insufficient information or lack of access are not the photographer’s responsibility.Additional time beyond the agreed duration will incur an hourly rate.

13. Sporting Sessions

Notify the photographer of key players or moments to capture. Shots missed due to game dynamics or lack of instructions are not guaranteed.  Outdoor sessions are subject to weather/light conditions and may need rescheduling.

14. Pet Portrait Sessions

Owners are responsible for the behavior and actions of their animals during the session. Ryan Morris Photography is not liable for injuries to animals, owners, or third parties.Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled if animals show signs of distress. The animal's welfare is my main concern.

Reshoots & Cancellations

15. Reshoots

A reshoot may be offered under the following conditions:
Technical Issues: If there are technical problems during the session (e.g., camera malfunctions or lighting failures) that impact the quality of the images.
Photographer Error: If the Photographer determines that the delivered images do not meet the agreed-upon standards due to a fault on their part.
Uncontrollable Circumstances: If unforeseen events (e.g. extreme weather or interruptions) occur during an outdoor session that significantly affect the session's outcome.

Reshoots will not be provided under the following conditions:
Client dissatisfaction with personal appearance (e.g., hairstyle, makeup, or clothing choices).
Client tardiness that impacts the session duration or quality.
Uncooperative behavior of participants during the session (e.g., children or pets not engaging).Reshoots are offered at the Photographer’s discretion and subject to availability.
Additional fees may apply if the reshoot is requested outside these outlined conditions.

16. Cancellations/Postponements

Retainer fees are non-refundable but transferable if a date change is required. Please provide at least 48 hours notice.

17. Weather Conditions

Sessions affected by poor weather will be rescheduled at the earliest convenience without additional charges.18.  HEALTHIf you are taken ill by an infectious disease, you must let me know and rearrange your session until you are fully recovered and no longer contagious. This is to protect the health of all my clients, who often include vulnerable newborn babies. Please inform me on booking if you or anyone attending your photography session suffers from any health conditions including allergies, photosensitive epilepsy, medical issues, physical difficulties, and disabilities etc.

Liability

19. Accidents & Incidents

Clients release Ryan Morris Photography from liability for accidents or incidents occurring during the session.

20. Limit of Liability

In the unlikely event that the Photographer is injured, becomes ill, or experiences an emergency that prevents them from completing the scheduled photo session, the Photographer will make every effort to reschedule the session. If a mutually agreeable reschedule date cannot be determined, the Client agrees that the Photographer’s liability is limited to the refund of all payments received for the Photo Shoot package.
In the rare instance that digital files are lost, stolen, or destroyed due to circumstances beyond the Photographer’s control—including but not limited to camera malfunctions, hard drive failure, or other equipment issues—the Photographer’s liability is strictly limited to the return of all payments received for the Photo Shoot Package.
Ryan Morris Photography is not responsible for the quality of services provided by business partners or any third parties. This does not affect your statutory rights.Ryan Morris Photography is fully insured. Public and Products Liability upto £2million. Professional Indemnity.

21. Special Requests

While client preferences are considered, Ryan Morris Photography will follow their professional expertise for session coverage. Special requests are not binding.

Children & Minors

22. Consent

Clients must certify they are legally able to give consent for minors (under 16) involved in the session.

Entire Agreement

This agreement contains the entire understanding between Photographer and Client. It supersedes all prior agreements between the parties. The only way to add or change this agreement is to do so in writing, signed by all the parties. If the parties want to waive one provision of this agreement, it does not mean that any other provision is also waived. This constitutes an order for one photo shoot session with Ryan Morris Photography.

Ryan Morris Photography reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Let me know if you have any questions about my terms and conditions.

Photography Voucher

23. Purchasing the Voucher

Please contact Ryan Morris Photography to request a voucher, stating the amount you wish to pay. If you would like the voucher to cover the full cost of a specific session package, please state this in your request so that we can confirm the correct amount before purchase.

24. Voucher Eligibility & Redemption

Photography vouchers may be redeemed for the photo session or package specified at the time of purchase. Each voucher contains a unique code that must be provided when booking. Vouchers can only be used with the photographer named on the voucher and are not transferable to other providers.

25. Booking a Session

All sessions must be booked in advance. Voucher holders should contact us directly via the booking form, email, or phone to arrange their appointment. Bookings are subject to availability, and weekend dates may fill up quickly. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date.

26. What the Voucher Includes

The amount covered by the voucher is clearly identified on the voucher itself. This voucher can be used to cover the cost of a photography session, but the session details and pricing must be discussed with us before the voucher is purchased. The voucher amount may also be used as full or part payment towards any session or package. Any remaining balance must be paid by the client, and any additional products or upgrades not covered by the voucher can be purchased separately.

27. Expiry Dates

Photography vouchers are valid until the expiry date printed on the voucher. Sessions must be booked and completedbefore this date. Expired vouchers cannot be redeemed or extended unless stated or required by consumer law.

28. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Normal cancellation and rescheduling procedures apply. Please refer to the Reshoot and Cancellation section for full details. Failure to attend a booked session or provide adequate notice may result in the voucher being marked as redeemed. If the photographer must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a new date will be offered at no extra cost.

29. Non-Refundable

Photography vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other services unless legally required.
